According to the interpretation of Clause 6.4.2, Paragraph 6 of the Petrochemical Regulations, loading is generally done in an unsealed manner; why is it unsealed? It’s not safe or environmentally friendly if it’s not sealed
Generally, unsealed loading is employed primarily to ensure the safety of the goods and improve transportation efficiency. For some items, enclosed transportation methods increase the cost of shipping, while for other items, open transportation methods can better preserve the quality and safety of the goods. Additionally, for certain volatile or toxic goods, non-closed loading can prevent the excessive generation of evaporative gases or harmful gases during transportation, thereby enhancing transport safety. For liquid goods, loading them in non-hermetically sealed containers can also prevent leakage due to pressure changes, thereby reducing cargo damage and environmental pollution. Therefore, although sealed loading is required in some cases, in most cases, unsealed loading is a more economical, safer, and more efficient option. .
