AutoPLANT Piping is a AutoCAD-based piping design and 3D modeling software developed by Bentley, capable of rapidly generating intelligent 3D production models. AutoPLANT Piping can dynamically link component and drawing control data to external project databases. Database information can be used to generate reports, as well as for global processing and modifying the descriptive data of components. AutoPLANT Piping supports the creation of construction drawings for projects (including floor plans, elevations, and sections) by using paper space views, and then exporting the 3D model data to ultimately generate the drawings. The import/export function supports output in Pipe Component Format (PCF), which can then be imported into Alias Limited’s ISOGEN software for automatically generating ISOGEN isometrics. The Drawing Flattener module can generate 2D planar engineering drawings from 3D models, including elevations, floor plans, and sections. Suitable for quick editing of construction drawings.
