As shown in the diagram above, an air vent is inserted into the tank to supply air and create bubbles inside it; will there be any liquid remaining in the horizontal pipe? My understanding is that it’s not possible, because the pressure at the outlet of the vent pipe is lower than the pressure at any point inside the pipe, so liquid cannot get in.
