Unmanned operation is primarily aimed at ensuring personnel safety; this stems from the relevant requirements outlined in GB/T 50779 (regarding personnel, control systems, and critical facilities), as well as the associated explosion-proofing requirements. It is also somewhat related to the concepts of mechanization (replacing humans with machines), automation (reducing the need for human intervention), and intelligence (achieving unmanned operation). 2.
