On December 22, Northeast Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Northeast Institute) and Energy Construction Green Hydrogen and Ammonia New Energy (Songyuan) Co., Ltd. successfully signed a contract for the EPC general contracting of the China Energy Construction Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park (integrated green hydrogen, ammonia, and alcohol production) project. The scope of this contract includes the survey, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation of 800 megawatt wind and photovoltaic new energy projects, 220 kV transmission lines, an electrolyzer assembly plant, a hydrogen production facility with an annual capacity of 45,000 tons through water electrolysis, a flexible ammonia production plant with a capacity of 200,000 tons, and a green methanol production plant with a capacity of 20,000 tons. It is understood that the China Energy Engineering Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park (integrated production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and alcohol) is currently the largest project of its kind in the world for the integrated production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and alcohol. It is located in Qiangeo County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, with the chemical processing facilities situated within the Jilin Songyuan Petrochemical Industry Circular Economy Park. The total investment in this project is 29.6 billion yuan, with construction carried out in three phases to establish production lines for 600,000 tons of green synthetic ammonia/alcohol as well as hydrogen energy equipment. The project is based on the medium- to long-term development plan for \"Hydrogen-powered Jilin,\" and takes advantage of Jilin Province’s status as the \"North China Hydrogen Valley\" and the \"Onshore Wind and Solar Three Gorges\" as opportunities for development. It represents an important step in implementing China Energy Engineering Group’s strategic approach of the \"30·60\" system solution, which focuses on \"one center\" along with \"two pillars\" in the form of hydrogen energy and energy storage.
