Can pressure vessel heads be manufactured from steel plates or round bars?
Elliptical, conical, butterfly-shaped, spherical, spherical crown, and flat-end heads are manufactured from steel plates.
End caps can be manufactured from steel plates, bars, and tubes. It is processed by hot and cold stamping, spinning, and rolling.
Housings for pressure vessels are generally made of steel plates; those with small diameters and high pressures can also be manufactured from forgings. I’ve never seen any made from rods.
