The proportion of the production area with a higher fire hazard to the total floor area or the area of that fire compartment is less than 5%. Does this area refer to the sum of the cross-sectional areas of these devices alone, or does it include the operating space around these devices, such as the distance to other types of equipment? This means that it’s not just the footprint of the equipment itself that should be considered, but also the necessary operating and maintenance space around it. When calculating, you should measure the total area from the outermost edges of each device to the safe operating distance. This includes safe distances between equipment, as well as safe distances from equipment to factory walls or other obstacles. This total area is used to compare with the total building area of the entire floor or fire compartment, in order to determine whether the condition of not exceeding 5% is met. If the area of this section is less than 5% of the total area, the fire hazard level of the factory building or fire compartment can be determined according to the category with a lower fire hazard. .

Within it, there are some pieces of equipment classified as Class A and Class B located adjacent to each other. The Class A equipment occupies 20 square meters, while the Class B equipment covers 45 square meters. Should this area be classified as Class B? Or, since the area occupied by Class A equipment exceeds 5% of the total area, should the Class B area also be upgraded to Class A, thereby making the entire workshop fall under Class A? Or, since neither area meets the 5% threshold individually, should the entire factory building still be classified as Class E?
For 5%, measures need to be taken to separate high-risk areas from low-risk areas; I believe this involves using fire prevention measures to enclose such areas, for example, the space where Class A equipment is located
