Announcement on the 4,400-ton/year high-end electronic-grade polyimide film production project 2025-04-02 13:07:15 Recently, the first round of information disclosure regarding the environmental impact assessment report for Guangxi Feimat Technology Co., Ltd.’s expansion project for high-end electronic-grade polyimide films was made available to the public. The expansion project for Guangxi Fimat’s high-end electronic-grade polyimide film involves the construction of 8 thermal wide-width biaxial stretching lines, 4 catalytic production lines for high-end PI films, and other supporting equipment. The project is expected to produce 4,400 tons per year of high-end electronic-grade polyimide films. Guangxi FiMate Technology Co., Ltd. is a growing high-tech enterprise primarily engaged in the research, development, and production of high-performance polyimide films. The company was established in 2017 and is located in the Guangxi-Guangdong Cooperation Special Pilot Zone in Wuzhou City, Guangxi. With a registered capital of 50 million yuan, it has 4 wide-width double-extrusion production lines, fixed asset investments of around 300 million yuan, and 200 employees. It produces 1,000 tons of various types of polyimide films per year. Polyimide (abbreviated as PI), the company’s main product, is a special engineering material that has been widely used in fields such as aerospace, microelectronics, nanotechnology, liquid crystals, separation membranes, and lasers. Currently, countries around the world are conducting research, development, and utilization of polyimide; it has been listed as one of the most promising engineering plastics in the 21st century. Electronic-grade polyimide film is a core material in the manufacturing of flexible circuit boards and plays a crucial role in the modern electronics industry. It is made from polyimide as raw material through a special manufacturing process, and possesses a range of excellent properties. Electron-grade polyimide films are widely used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Inside smart phones, it serves as a key material for flexible circuit boards, connecting various precision electronic components and enabling a more compact internal structure and a more rational layout of the phone ; In tablets and laptops, this film helps enable thinner and lighter designs, while ensuring efficient and stable signal transmission between electronic components. It can be said that electronic-grade polyimide films are essential materials for the development of the modern electronics industry, and with ongoing advancements in technology, their application prospects will become even broader.
