On June 18, a meeting on the design and process package for the 450,000-ton/year polypropylene unit of Xinjiang Dongming Plastics’ 800,000-ton coal-based olefins project was held at Ningbo Engineering Company. Xinjiang Dongming Plastic Co., Ltd., as well as the relevant project officials ； The technical leader of the patent holder attended the meeting. At the kick-off meeting, Ningbo Engineering Company provided a detailed introduction to the technological approach and the project schedule. The participants conducted in-depth discussions on key topics such as project division of labor, process flow diagrams, overall layout of the plant, design foundations, and core equipment, reaching a consensus that laid a solid foundation for subsequent engineering design work. Xinjiang Dongming Plastics’ 800,000-ton coal-to-olefins project is one of the two key coal chemical projects in the Jundong Economic and Technological Development Zone in Xinjiang; Ningbo Engineering Company is primarily responsible for the design of the 450,000-ton/year polypropylene plant. This project integrates modern coal chemical technology with industries such as green electricity and green hydrogen. It primarily produces basic industrial raw materials such as ethylene and propylene, with an annual processing capacity of 6 million tons of coal. As important basic raw materials for industrial production, these products are primarily used in the petrochemical industry, plastic manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and the energy sector. They can effectively stimulate the development of industries at both upstream and downstream levels, and serve as a model for promoting the clean and efficient use of coal.
