On August 26, an announcement was issued for the tender process to select a contractor for the trial operation and maintenance work related to the EPC project for the auxiliary facilities of JinFeng Green Energy Chemicals (Xing’an League) Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 850,000 tons of green methanol per year (with 250,000 tons in the first phase). Recently, in the Xingan League Economic and Technological Development Zone, the roar of cranes mixed with the commands of the technicians. Under the attentive gaze of everyone, the biomass gasifier, a key equipment for syngas production and the core unit of Goldwind Science & Technology’s world’s largest project for producing 500,000 tons of green methanol from green hydrogen, was slowly lifted into the air and successfully hoisted into place. This stunning scene not only marks the entry of this project into the phase of full equipment installation, but also signals the beginning of Xingan League’s accelerated progress on the new track of hydrogen energy. On July 1, according to public information, the \"Green Hydrogen-based 500,000-ton Green Methanol Project\" operated by Goldwind Green Energy Chemicals (Xing’an League), a subsidiary of Goldwind Science & Technology, completed its regulatory approval process for changes; the planned annual production capacity was increased significantly from 500,000 tons to 850,000 tons, representing an expansion of 70%. The construction site is located in the Xingan League Economic and Technological Development Zone. The investment amount is 3 billion yuan (with the total project cost amounting to 13.665 billion yuan), and the planned construction period is from December 2023 to December 2025. The project is constructed in two phases. Phase 1 will result in an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons of green methanol, while Phase 2 will raise this capacity to 600,000 tons. Together, these two phases represent a substantial increase of 70% compared to the originally planned total capacity of 500,000 tons.
