Recently, it was learned from the **Intellectual Property Office that the Pipeline Design Institute has once again been granted five invention patents. One of these relates to a method and system for risk monitoring and early warning in long-distance oil and gas pipelines; this system utilizes integrated sky-land monitoring techniques to quickly identify and locate areas prone to geological disasters. This achievement has been applied in projects such as the Second Sichuan-Guangdong Gas Pipeline, providing data support for the prevention and control of geological disasters. 2 A simulation method for pipeline landslide disasters that integrates multiple physical models: By constructing a multi-element, multi-dimensional, and multi-scale database of pipeline foundations and integrating multiple physical models, it identifies the factors that contribute to the occurrence of such disasters, thereby significantly improving the ability to predict the trends of pipeline landslide disasters. 3 A remote sensing large-model image transformation method for long-distance pipelines based on fluid sand dynamics: This approach utilizes the theory of fluid sand dynamics to improve the accuracy and stability of remote sensing image processing, thereby providing more reliable remote sensing monitoring solutions for oil and gas storage and transportation projects. 4 A pipeline routing design method based on a single-pipe mathematical model. This design method, which utilizes a single-pipe mathematical model, improves the accuracy and efficiency of pipeline installation while effectively reducing construction costs; it has been applied in various projects. 5 Band-shaped area quasi-geoid refinement methods and devices, electronic devices, and media improve the elevation measurement accuracy and efficiency in oil and gas storage and transportation projects, reduce measurement costs, and ensure the consistency of results. Five patents cover key areas such as geological hazard monitoring in oil and gas storage and transportation and real-world 3D modeling, addressing the core challenges in energy storage and transportation projects. They demonstrate the innovative outcomes of deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application, highlighting the pipeline design institute’s strong capabilities in real-world 3D technology for oil and gas storage and transportation
