【Common Issues in Haichuan Pipeline Design】Conflict between the trench in front of the pump and the pipe rack

I wonder if anyone has encountered this issue: a row of pumps is installed on the floor, with drainage pipes set up at the inlet side of the pumps; a gutter is created below these drainage pipes to collect the liquid. At the end of the project, adjustable brackets were installed on the inlet pipes of the pumps, and then the drawings were submitted for archiving. However, during on-site construction, it was discovered that all the adjustable supports in front of the pumps were installed in the trench, and even some of the supports for the outlet pipes were also located in the trench. This made it impossible for the construction team to proceed with their work, so they called the design office to ask what to do. There are generally two reasons for this problem: 1. The gutters were not included in the model, and by the time it came to the stage of constructing the pipe racks, many people would rush in to carry out the work; those responsible for building these pipe racks were likely not the designers of the installation, so they did not pay attention to this issue. 2. The designer lacks sufficient experience and has no idea that pipe racks cannot be installed on gutters. For these two reasons, they would be easily noticeable if there were reviewers to examine the work. However, due to the usually tight project schedule, by the time the pipe racks are completed, many reviewers focus only on those related to stress pipes and pay no attention to the others, which results in such issues being carried over to the construction site. So how should this problem be handled? Taking the site where I served as the design representative as an example, the support for the pump inlet was directly moved to the pump pre-filter, while for the outlet pipeline, a steel profile was installed above the trench; the pipe rack was then built on this steel profile, as shown in the figure below.
