(1) Grille floors shall not be used. (2) Place leak trays at the leakage points. In accordance with GB 50160-2008, the \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises (2018 edition)\", and at petrochemical plant sites, steel grating can be used for floor slabs; however, effective measures must be taken to prevent leaking flammable liquids from dripping or spilling from the upper layer to the lower layer. Measures such as liquid collection tanks and cofferdams can be adopted. The requirements for closed floor slabs as specified in the Petrochemical Standard (5.3.1) are also addressed in (5.2.20), where it is emphasized that the operating temperature of the media located on the upper floor slabs should be equal to or higher than their auto-ignition temperature. (3) If a grid-patterned open floor is used, the area of the grid pattern is not included in the floor area of the fire compartment, and it can be considered as a single story. (Petrochemical standard 5.3.1). (4) Reference can also be made to Code 8.2.5: For multi-story equipment platforms that must be installed in enclosed buildings due to process requirements or natural conditions, if the decks of these platforms are made of grating panels, such platforms can serve as operation or maintenance platforms. The area of such platforms does not need to be included in the floor area of the corresponding fire compartment, and the following requirements must be met: 1. The area occupied by enclosed areas formed by auxiliary rooms without personnel present and equipped with enclosing structures should be less than 5% of the floor area; 2. The total number of operators should be less than 10; 3. An automatic fire extinguishing system should be installed on each floor, preferably a deluge-type automatic sprinkler system; 4. The evacuation requirements for the equipment platforms on each floor shall comply with the relevant provisions of the current standard “Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings” GB50016; 5. The open area ratio of the grating panels should not be less than 50%; 6. It is advisable to install fusible lighting strips on the roof, with the area of such strips being no less than 15% of the roof area. Lighting strips or windows should also be installed on the exterior walls, and the effective area of such strips or windows, located at least halfway up the interior clear height of each exterior wall, should be greater than 25% of the total surface area of the exterior walls on that floor. The lighting strips or lighting on the exterior walls and roof should be evenly distributed.
