Personally, I think corrosion is closely related to safety standards, while it has less to do with costs. What do you all think?
It also has a lot to do with costs; it’s normal for different materials to have price differences of several times
For example, the one-extraction-four-injection process in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, as well as ammonia injection in catalytic fractionation, are all aimed at reducing corrosion. Without corrosion, there would be no need for such processes, equipment, or auxiliary materials; therefore, corrosion has a significant impact on costs, as well as on product quality.
They are all highly related; it’s just that you haven’t encountered them yet
