The production facility for dimethyl oxalate, with a capacity of 400,000 tons per year, operated by Inner Mongolia Zhuozheng was put into operation. On January 28, 2026, representatives from Inner Mongolia Zhuozheng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Inner Mongolia Zhuozheng”), Shanghai Pujing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Pujing Chemical”), and Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hualu”) gathered in Xi’an, Shaanxi, to hold a ceremony marking the start of operations of this facility. During the meeting, they had in-depth discussions on the project’s progress, process design, and delivery timelines. Inner Mongolia Zhuozheng is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inner Mongolia HuiNeng Coal and Electricity Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “HuiNeng Group”). Located in the Nalinhe Industrial Park of the Sulihe Economic Development Zone in Wushen Banner, Inner Mongolia, it adheres to industry guidance policies focused on greenness, low carbon emissions, energy conservation, and environmental protection. By utilizing advanced technologies for the efficient and clean comprehensive utilization of coal based on different quality levels, as well as various state-of-the-art synthesis techniques in coal chemistry, it produces 19 different products, including methanol, acetic acid, ethanol, polyoxymethylene (POM), polyglycolic acid (PGA), dimethyl oxalate (DMO), oxalic acid, coal tar, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) ； Through subsequent processes such as chain extension, chain supplementation, chain stabilization, and chain strengthening, more than 30 new material products with degradable properties and high performance can be produced, thereby enabling the coal chemical industry to develop in a manner that features higher standards, greater diversity, and lower carbon emissions. The project will be constructed in two phases; it is expected that the production capacity of new material products will reach 1.1 million to 1.5 million tons by 2027, and 2.6 million to 3.2 million tons in total by 2030 ； Once completed, it will undoubtedly provide strong support for the development of the core area of Ordos’ **modern coal chemical industry demonstration base**.
