Sinopec Shanghai Engineering and Hualu Engineering signed the EPC general contract for the first phase of the Yanchang Petroleum Yulin Coal Chemical Ethanol and Acetic Acid Derivatives Project. On March 20, the EPC general contract for this first phase was officially finalized, marking the transition of this major project, with a total investment of 6.8 billion yuan, from the preliminary preparation stage to the phase of rapid construction. At the signing ceremony, Shi Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Director of Yulin Coal Chemical Company, was present in person, while Gao Qingfu, Deputy General Manager, presided over the event. The project construction command center signed contracts with Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd. and Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., the two \"team\"-level general contractors. This project located in the Yuheng Industrial Park is of great value. A 300,000-ton/year vinyl acetate complex, a 30,000-ton/year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene plant, a 50,000-ton/year alpha-olefins plant, a 50,000-ton/year vinyl oil plant, and a 100,000-ton/year polyolefin elastomer plant – these five facilities are being developed simultaneously, with the supporting auxiliary systems also advancing at the same pace. “The project features a tight schedule, heavy tasks, high standards, and great responsibilities. ”At the signing ceremony, Shi Lei emphasized that the two general contractors should adhere to the spirit of contracts and embrace a unified approach, using top-notch management, technology, teams, and work ethics to turn the project into a high-quality achievement. The person in charge of the project construction command center stated that they will work together with the general contractor and all other parties involved in the project to set clear goals, reverse-engineer the schedule, carry out tasks systematically, and push forward steadily. They will pay close attention to five key aspects: quality, safety, environmental protection, progress, and investment, so as to ensure that the project is completed, put into operation, and starts generating benefits as soon as possible. Representatives of both general contracting companies stated that they would adhere to the principle of win-win cooperation, assemble the best teams, and ensure the successful progress of the project by applying the highest standards, strictest requirements, and a practical approach. From signing the contract to the completion of CCCC, from starting up the plant for trials to achieving full production and efficiency, the race against time has already begun. As an important part of the transformation and upgrading of Yanchang Petroleum Group, this project embodies not only the expectations of an enterprise but will also inject strong new momentum into the coal chemical industry in Yulin.
