On April 20, a tender announcement was issued for the EPC general contracting project of the 100,000-ton green methanol facility, which is part of the first phase of Shenyang’s demonstration project on integrating wind and solar power with biomass to produce green alcohol and oil. Project Overview: Location: The project is situated in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The site for the new energy power plant is located in Kangping County, Shenyang City, about 12 km away from the center of Kangping County. It is in the southeastern part of Kangping County, with convenient transportation access – it is adjacent to the exit of the Shenkang Expressway (S2), and National Highway G203 passes through the area. The recommended site for the biomass pretreatment plant is located at the former grain warehouse in Liangjiazi Township, Kangping County, approximately 10 km in a straight line from the biochemical industrial park. The methanolization plant is located in Kangping County, Shenyang City. Construction scale: Phase 1 of this project involves the construction of a 100MW centralized wind power facility, 50MW/100MWh electrochemical energy storage system, a plant for producing 100,000 tons per year of green methanol, a plant for processing biomass at a rate of 360,000 tons per year, as well as related supporting facilities. This project makes targeted use of the abundant new energy sources and agricultural straws in Kangping County and its surrounding areas for green, zero-carbon development and utilization; the outputs of the project are green hydrogen, biomass briquettes, and green methanol. The main construction contents are as follows: 1) Biomass pretreatment plant section: One plant will be built, with an annual production capacity of 360,000 tons of biomass white pellets ； 2) Green methanol chemical sector: The methanol synthesis capacity is 100,000 tons per year, which includes 3×1000 Nm3/h electrolyzers for hydrogen production, hydrogen storage tanks with an effective volume of 60,000 Nm3, 2 pressurized fluidized bed gasification units with a capacity of 600 tons per day, and a methanol synthesis plant with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year ； 3) Wind power generation section: The total installed capacity of the wind farm is 100 MW. It is equipped with 10 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 10 MW. The diameter of the turbine blades is 230 m, and the hub height is 160 m.
