Silicone rubber (VMQ) has a temperature resistance range of generally -60°C to +200°C, which fully meets your requirements; it also boasts good elasticity and excellent sealing properties. If oil resistance is a requirement, you can consider EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber); it can withstand low temperatures of around -40°C, as well as high temperatures of up to about 120°C. However, the specific type to use depends on the medium – if in contact with oils, neither silicone rubber nor EPDM is very resistant to oils; in that case fluororubber might be the better choice. But the low-temperature limit of fluororubber is usually around -20°C, and there is a risk of cracking at -35°C. It is recommended that you first determine the medium in contact with the washer as well as the pressure conditions, and then request from the supplier the temperature tolerance curves and certification data for the specific material – this will be more reliable.
