However, if the steam pressure fluctuates frequently, as you mentioned, changes in the static head in the vertical section can cause the flow rate of liquid to vary. In such cases, entering the system after a horizontal turn (it’s better to first go upward before making the horizontal turn) does indeed facilitate gas-liquid mixing. But an exhaust valve must be installed before the turn; otherwise, the accumulation of gas can lead to a \"gas lock\" that results in failed pumping. Another detail that is easily overlooked is the matching between the diameter of the suction pipe and the throat of the injector – different manufacturers provide recommended values for the suction pipe diameter and inlet height; if the suction pipe is too thin or too long, the frictional losses along its length will significantly reduce the pumping capacity ; When the liquid is fed vertically upward, it is advisable to add a short section of transparent tube near the injector inlet to facilitate observation of whether the liquid is being drawn in continuously, thereby preventing damage to the injector due to dry operation. It is recommended to contact the manufacturer instead, providing parameters such as your steam pressure range, the level of the water in the pit, and the backpressure in the drainage pipes, so that they can offer recommendations regarding the pipe diameter and layout.
