Forum layout issue: where did the sorting method go?

There used to be an option in the lower right corner that allowed one to choose the sorting method for posts, such as by posting date or by response time – it was quite convenient. Why is it gone now? Speaking off-topic, diversity should be embraced; it requires handling in a way similar to how Dayu managed the floods, rather than trying to solve the problem by blocking things. Regarding replies and points, should unified standards be established? It’s pretty difficult, I can tell from my own experience: One day, someone uploaded two piping diagrams in the CAD section (they were actually the same diagram), claiming it to be part of a graduation project. The teacher said there were many issues with it and asked someone to take a look at it. I downloaded it, printed it out, circled the problems, then categorized them; I also wrote down my personal opinions labeled A, B, and C. I typed a lot and spent over an hour on it. Of course, the moderator added over twenty points, and the original poster also replied to express their gratitude. Further on, one day, a few words were typed in over the course of a few minutes; points were added gradually, and several dozen points were earned as well. From an economic perspective, it’s clear that one shouldn’t go back to that previous post.

I feel that a bad trend is spreading in forums – the best way to get rich and advance quickly in such forums isn’t to patiently reply to posts or create new ones; no matter how good those posts or replies are, they’re of no use. Instead, some people just post nonsense until they reach a certain rank and then apply to become moderators… It seems that worldly principles apply everywhere, even in virtual worlds
