On February 24, the construction of Zhongxing Electronics’ project in Xiantao, Hubei, to produce 300,000 tons of titanium tetrachloride and 100,000 tons of titanium dioxide produced by chlorination methods, began. I. Project Name: Zhongxing Electronics’ 300,000 tons/year titanium tetrachloride production project II. Location of construction ; Titanium Industrial Park, Xiantao Economic Development Zone III. Construction scale and main components: The project covers an area of 400 mu, with a building area of 69,211 square meters; 1,047 sets of equipment will be purchased (including 20 sets of testing and auxiliary equipment). Upon completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of titanium tetrachloride. The product is manufactured using the most advanced and environmentally friendly boiling chlorination method; it is produced from chlorine gas and high-titanium slag through processes such as material preparation, chlorination, dust collection, sedimentation, filtration, and purification to yield titanium tetrachloride.
