As shown in the figure below, a stream of deoxygenated water is supplied for the remote level monitoring of the steam generator inside the unit. What is the purpose of this? Is it used to flush the level gauge? Correction?

It’s for the level gauge; when there is a significant discrepancy between the reading inside the room and the actual value on site after using it for some time, just flush it!
In boilers that generate steam, there may be dead zones where water does not flow at the points where instruments are connected. In such areas, impurities in the water tend to concentrate and cause corrosion; therefore, it is necessary to introduce water periodically for flushing, in order to prevent localized ion concentration and corrosion
One of the deoxygenated waters used in the steam generator’s remote level gauge is for flushing the level gauge； I guess the shell-side drain pipeline is missing from the diagram. When a steam generator operates for a long time, a large amount of bottom sludge accumulates at the bottom; this sludge can easily cause coking that blocks the level gauge. Therefore, the level gauge must be continuously flushed, along with a small amount of waste being removed from the bottom. If conditions permit, a level switch can be installed for dual protection.
