Are there any good desulfurization methods for coal-to-gas production? Seeking advice!
The removal of organic sulfur is primarily carried out using dry methods. To reduce the total sulfur content to below 10‑6, dry methods are necessary. When the hydrogen sulfide content in the feed gas is low while the carbon dioxide content is high, the modified ADA method can be used; when both H2S and CO2 levels are high, physical absorption methods (such as low-temperature methanol washing) are appropriate. If the H2S content in the feed gas is as high as 30–45 g/Nm3, the ethanolamine desulfurization method should be employed
What to do if the sulfur alcohol content in the raw material is high? Could you be more specific? Thank you
If the CO2 content in coal-derived gas is 16% and the H2S content is only around 1000 ppm, and CO2 removal is not required, can the alcohol amine method be used? Some people say that in the ethanolamine method, high steam consumption is an issue; is that why ethanolamine isn’t used?
