After maintenance, the system is purged with nitrogen; how is the oxygen content level determined? What is the standard based on? I glanced through the operation manuals for several sets of equipment; some specify that the oxygen content after nitrogen displacement should be no more than 0.2%, while others specify no more than 0.5%. The standards vary, and I’m not sure what determines them Please talk about your situations.

The purity of nitrogen should be no less than 99.9%~~Indeed, some processes require the nitrogen level to be reduced to below 0.5%, while others demand it to be below 0.2%~~But since you have nitrogen with a purity of 99.9%, then a purity level of 0.2% is sufficient for such processes. Of course, if cost is a concern, a purity level of 0.5% will do; after all, when liquefied gas is placed in an atmosphere of nitrogen containing 0.5% oxygen, it won’t pose any risk of combustion or explosion~~
It is determined by the properties of the medium being displaced; the explosion limit range is less than 0.2, and then there’s also the case where it’s less than 0.5. I can’t remember the exact numerical values
