In previous processes, nitrogen was used for purging, and after each use, nitrogen generation had to be carried out to keep the nitrogen tank in a pressurized state. Last time, I saw someone say that nitrogen (compressed air) should be generated as it is needed, especially during hot seasons, as maintaining pressure can lead to safety accidents. Who said that? Ask him to come up with some standards – nitrogen storage tanks are always under pressure, so how can there be any problems? Then can’t we even install buffer tanks at the nitrogen outlet of continuous production systems?

In my opinion: if your nitrogen generation unit is only used for purging and not for real-time online purging, you can consider generating nitrogen as needed. There will be no problem even under pressure, as the tank is equipped with a safety valve.
From a intrinsic safety perspective, it’s better to work without pressure
