Today, during the lift test of the gas tank, a strange phenomenon occurred: since there was no vent valve installed at the top of the tank, it was sealed with a blind plate. For convenience, the inlet valve at the bottom was used to release pressure during the tank’s lowering test. Pressure release. . . The bell jar descends. . . Then the experienced worker came over and said that bolts needed to be supplied for the top blind plate in order to relieve the vacuum at the top and prevent it from collapsing. At that time, the gas holder was still raised, and the idea was born right then. . . The top blind plate was removed, and indeed an air inhalation phenomenon is occurring. May I ask the experts, how can this be explained? If the gas holder is in an elevated state, it indicates that there is positive pressure inside the bell jar; so how can a vacuum be created? Is a vacuum formed locally? It’s hard to understand, because the outlet of the intake pipe is also at the top of the gas tank – doesn’t that mean pressure is being released from the top as well? My guess is that a vacuum is created in that area; since it’s a wet-type gas holder, there’s a high level of moisture at the bottom of the holder, and the molecules have a large molecular weight, so they can’t rise quickly to fill the space created by the pressure loss. Is that what’s happening?
