Discussion on Common Piping Errors 013: Which of the following designs (the piping design for the sampling points is shown) is correct? A. B. Answer: B. Sampling points should be located on the main pipe, before the branches; sampling must not take place in dead corners to ensure that the samples collected are representative. It is also not allowed to sample at the bottom of horizontal pipes, to prevent rust or other foreign substances from clogging the sampling valve.
