The high-level tanks of two heat transfer oil systems with different temperatures are connected using the principle of a communicating vessel; they are connected at their bottoms. What unexpected consequences might arise from this? I would appreciate some guidance from those who know more!

If the temperature difference is large and the liquid level is high enough, the tank at the higher temperature may overflow or even spill oil.
There will be no problem; the high-level tank is connected to the circulation circuit and is used only to buffer the expansion of the heat transfer oil. High-temperature heat transfer oil does not enter the high-level tank.
Expansion tanks at different temperatures cannot be connected at the bottom, as this would cause mixing of hot oils at different temperatures; however, they can be connected above the level of the overflow pipe. That way, there will be no problem.
1. No impact. The sump is used solely to buffer the expansion and contraction of the heat transfer oil; the system oil temperature has little impact on it, especially since there are only two bottoms that are connected to each other. At most, the levels of the two high-level tanks will be at the same level. 2. For heat transfer oils of the same type at different temperatures, it is sufficient to share a single overhead tank; there is no need to waste resources.
