Regarding the drawing method of CAD instruments

Dear fellow sailors, I have a question: in some CAD drawings, temperature interlocks are represented as TE-TT-TI, with circles around the letters. This represents the temperature sensing element -> temperature sensor -> temperature display (secondary instrument). I’m not sure if this is the correct way to understand it In some cases, I see only TT-TI; is this a typo or is it indeed the case on the same diagram?
Without TE, there can be no TT. So there is no TE; it might be an omitted drawing style. This is my understanding; please feel free to criticize it. However, I think there is still a difference between the instrument diagrams drawn by the process engineering and instrumentation majors. The process diagram only sets out the requirements, while the instrumentation diagram is used for actual construction, so it needs to be more detailed.
