It is better not to use underground storage tanks, as maintenance is necessary in case of leaks, and troubleshooting is very difficult. Environmental regulations also prohibit the storage of highly corrosive materials underground. Our company also had an underground hydrochloric acid tank covering several hundred square meters; it had been in use for only a short time before experiencing severe leaks, and repairing it was very difficult. It took over a month just to deal with the remaining hydrochloric acid in the tank.
