Our company’s storage tanks for flammable liquids are required to be equipped with emergency shut-off valves on their inlet and outlet pipelines. We use bottom feeding and bottom discharging; in this case, can the inlet pipeline and the outlet pipeline share one emergency shut-off valve? Thank you!

In fact, in terms of reliability, it is not only necessary to install them, but you are also advised to use dual valves. I set it up in this way in the unit’s tank area. A cut-off valve is provided for discharge; one seems not necessary for feed.
