Seeking help in determining the drying process flow for hydrogen chloride. I need information on the drying process and operational precautions for hydrogen chloride gas produced in hydrochloric acid synthesis furnaces. Thank you.
It can generally be dried using concentrated sulfuric acid or freeze-drying
The material coming out of the synthesis furnace is already quite dry; freeze-drying can be used to reduce the water content to below 100 ppm.
It can be reduced to below 50 ppm
