The medium vapor is depressurized through flow control orifice plates; according to the calculations in 20570, two plates are required. What are the requirements regarding the actual installation spacing between these two flow control orifice plates? The reason for needing two plates is that it is stated in 20570 that the pressure reduction ratio should not exceed 55% or 58%, etc. However, someone told foreigners that this factor isn’t taken into account at all – one plate is sufficient. Is that true? Additionally, there are almost no samples of online flow restriction orifice plates available; not even a sample can be found. Is there anyone who can provide some sample materials?

Reputable domestic manufacturers of throttling devices are capable of calculating and producing flow-limiting orifice plates; just inquire with them and the issue will be resolved.

It’s probably not possible to do it with just one board; in fact, the domestic standards are also based on those from abroad. So the designation 20570 is actually a commonly used one. As for the distance between the two boards, I don’t think there’s any need to worry about it – the fact that it isn’t specified in the standards might mean that it isn’t that important (personal opinion)
