In the engineering design, the pipeline pressure level was reduced by one tier. The original design called for a pressure level change at the flange before the control valve – is this appropriate?
Since such a high pressure level isn’t necessary, why not change the pressure level right after the mating flange at the device’s interface?~~~~ The control valve would have to be customized (with one side having a high pressure level and the other side having a lower pressure level); even if a supplier were able to manufacture it, it would pose problems for future spare parts management~~~~~~~~
