Does anyone know what causes whitening on the surface of epoxy flooring?

I wonder if it has been soaked in alkali. The ones we use turn white after being soaked in alkali.

Reasons for whitening of epoxy flooring: (1) During drying, the low boiling point of the organic solvents used leads to rapid evaporation, which reduces the surface temperature of the coating. As a result, some water vapor accumulates on the surface of the coating, forming a white mist that causes the coating to become cloudy and lose its luster. 　　(2) Excessively high air humidity at the construction site (relative humidity above 80%). 　(3) Moisture present in the paint film and thinners, or moisture introduced by compressed air. 　(4) The use of large amounts of low-boiling-point thinners in fast-drying paints can cause the paint film to turn white; in some cases, it may also develop irregularities and fine cracks. 　　(5) The water vapor condensed on the wet film causes the resin or polymer components in the coating to precipitate, resulting in the coating turning white. 　　(6) The air circulation in the painting booth is poor, and there is a lack of heating equipment. 　　(7) The quality of the solvent used is poor, and it evaporates too quickly. 　　(8) The temperature in the spraying area is low, especially when the temperature of the object to be coated is below room temperature. Methods to prevent whitening of the coating film in epoxy floor coatings: (1) Add a moisture inhibitor, and pay attention to the environmental temperature and humidity at the construction site. 　　(2) The ambient temperature at the painting site should be maintained between 15–25°C, with a relative humidity not exceeding 70%. 　　(3) Prevent the introduction of moisture through solvents and compressed air. 　　(4) A compatible thinner should be used during the application of fast-drying paint, and the amount of thinner used should not be excessive. 　　(5) An appropriate amount of moisture inhibitor (anti-whitening agent) or butanol-based water-solubilizing agent can be added to the coating. 　　(6) Raise the temperature of the part to be painted above the ambient temperature (around 10°C) before painting. 　　(7) Properly heat the painting area to raise the temperature of the painting environment. 　　(8) Use a diluent of good quality that volatilizes slowly.

The whitening of epoxy floors is mainly due to high surface humidity, with the floor not having enough time to dry.
