The graduation project is a horizontal storage tank for liquid nitrogen at low temperatures. I would like to ask whether the inner tank and the outer tank are calculated separately during the design process? Also, does the wall thickness of the cylinder need to be the same as that of the head? The current calculated wall thickness is 19 mm, but no corresponding thickness can be found for a standard elliptical head with a diameter of 3200 mm. Should I choose a different wall thickness then?
Are the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder calculated separately? Calculate separately; when determining the internal pressure of the inner tank, take into account that the interlayer is vacuum. The outer tank is checked for negative pressure. Also, does the wall thickness of the cylinder need to be the same as that of the head? (It is usually the same.)
