Electromagnetic heating (power frequency, medium frequency, high frequency heating) 4. Far-infrared heating. 5. Microwave heating (it is unknown whether it can be used to heat materials inside metal containers). Our factory currently uses the first type of heating method for the most part. Last year, an far-infrared heating system was introduced for testing, and it was found that compared to heating with heat transfer oil, its operating costs are higher and its efficiency is lower. Is this the norm? If it’s the normal case, which one would be more suitable to choose? PS: The equipment to be upgraded is a magnetically driven high-pressure reactor, whose vessel wall is made of 90mm carbon steel with a 4mm stainless steel lining.
For such technologies, those with high efficiency have already been patented; checking patents is more effective than discussing them
There’s really no need for discussion on this, as our discussion has been rather superficial; generally, such heating methods or new technologies are either patented or kept as confidential information
It’s about finding out whether other companies have similar experience, and whether there are any specialized manufacturers in the relevant field that one could consult. Next, it is necessary to understand, from a theoretical perspective, the advantages and disadvantages of various heating methods as well as the operating conditions for which they are suitable, in order to facilitate selection and maintenance.
