Why is ammonia from SCR denitration mixed with air?

Why does ammonia used for SCR denitration need to be mixed with air before it can be sprayed into the flue? Can’t ammonia simply be sprayed directly into the flue? I seek advice from those who are more knowledgeable.
The ammonia concentration does not need to be very high; mixing it with a certain proportion of air makes it easier to operate and control.
Is the purpose to mix thoroughly with the smoke? Isn’t there also a distributor installed in the flue?
The level of component concentration and uniform mixing are not the same concept.
We’ve just installed two sets of desulfurization and denitrification systems, and I’m a bit confused when I see this problem... It’s embarrassing, haha. For denitrification in our boilers, we use SNCR+SCR technology, with 5%-10% dilute ammonia water as the denitrifying agent. In my understanding, thorough atomization is necessary; due to considerations related to the amount used and the completeness of spraying, it’s not possible to use pure ammonia gas for atomization. To achieve 100% coverage of the flue gases, how high would the ammonia escape at the outlet have to be?
Didn’t it say that 10% ammonia solution should be used, rather than 20% ammonia solution? Spray ammonia directly?
