What do OR and RS mean in this diagram?
OR means an OR gate: if any one of several conditions is met, the switch will be activated. RS means an AND-NOT gate: only one of the two conditions can be satisfied. That is, when one condition is met, the other cannot be met!
Or means either one of them, that is, the subsequent result can occur as long as one of the conditions is met. RS is a trigger, generally used on manual buttons in interlocks.
