Do the equipment in the circulating water plant require explosion-proof motors? What are the standards and guidelines?

There are no specific requirements for the circulating water itself; it depends on whether it is located within an explosion-proof area. The explosion-proof area map in our factory was prepared in accordance with the \"Code for Design of Electrical Installations in Explosive Atmospheres\" – GB50058-2014. When selecting electrical instruments, it is necessary to check whether they are situated within an explosion-proof area
In circulating water plants, there are generally requirements for spacing between separate areas and equipment; such spacing requirements can be found in the petrochemical industry standards. If the distance between the circulating water plant and the equipment meets these standard requirements, then explosion-proof motors are not necessary
