In mud pipelines (DN300) with a high sand content, is an electric butterfly valve better or a pneumatic butterfly valve? Asking the experts for advice~~~~~
Pneumatic is preferred over electric whenever possible. It also depends on the on-site conditions; if there’s no gas, using an electric version is simpler

1. Actions are not frequent. 2. There is no requirement for response time (1 or 2 minutes are both acceptable). 3. Both gas and electricity are available on site. If pneumatic power is available, it can be used; the cost is much lower. However, in winter care must be taken regarding the drainage of the air supply, as freezing is common in northern regions, and maintenance requirements are relatively high. Denso components are significantly more expensive. If time is not a concern and minimal maintenance is desired, Denso is the better choice; power plants generally use Denso components as they are more hassle-free to work with.
