I would like to ask everyone how to handle chlorine gas that leaks after liquid chlorine is vaporized. The engineer said that trenches should be dug to collect the gas in exhaust tanks – is this feasible? If so, how should it be done specifically? Also, what size should the accident containment tanks be located next to the liquid chlorine cylinders? Does one tank need to correspond to each cylinder? Thank you
Are your engineers from the water supply and drainage field? Could they think of using gutters to collect toxic gases? Places where toxic gases are used must be equipped with emergency ventilation systems, with a ventilation rate of more than 12 times per hour; the exhaust gas generated must be sent to appropriate treatment devices such as spray towers, flares, or adsorbers
It’s better to arrange a torch parade; the risks of doing this are too high
Spray adsorption and flare disposal are too time-consuming, and there are too many environmental factors to consider.
Follow the safety regulations for chlorine gas specified in GB11984-2008
But this is an outdoor area; the chlorine supply equipment is placed outdoors between the two workshops, so there is no need for exhaust ventilation. Please advise.

Whether chlorine storage tanks can be stored outdoors is a question; if it violates laws and regulations, they need to be moved indoors. Chlorine is a highly toxic chemical, and storage tanks can pose a significant hazard. For each batch of chlorine that our company purchases, we must first register with the public security bureau to obtain a permit, and the location where the chlorine is stored also requires a safety license. You can’t just go to a machinery factory, buy a tank, and then use chlorine without having any necessary permits or documentation, right?

Toxic gases must not enter the flare; in the event of a chlorine leak, the emergency fans should be activated to send the gas to the exhaust treatment system. Cylinders that cannot be sealed are pushed into the alkali solution tank.
