In what applications are thermal resistors and thermocouples used respectively? What is the reason for it? :)
Both thermal resistors and thermocouples are used for measuring temperature. Thermal resistors measure temperature based on the variation in electrical resistance of metals as temperature changes; they can measure temperatures ranging from -100 to 500°C. Thermocouples, on the other hand, measure temperature using the thermoelectric effect, with a measurement range of up to 0-1300°C℃
Thermocouples have slightly lower accuracy but a wider measurement range!
