May I ask, how is the installation position of the impeller in the casing determined for multi-blade centrifugal fans? What is the distance from the impeller to the front housing (or rear housing)? The fan textbooks only state that the casing diameter = impeller width x (1.5–2.2), but they do not specify what the axial distance from the impeller to the casing is Thank you
I have never used a multi-blade centrifugal fan; is it included in range hoods? I think it’s fine as long as the distances on both sides are equal
I consulted the technical staff at the fan manufacturer, who said that during design, the impeller is usually placed close to the rear panel; placing the impeller further toward the center will affect the fan’s efficiency and pressure. But what is the relationship between the distance the impeller moves toward the rear side plate and the width of the impeller?
