I want to set up a horizontal condensate tank for a high-pressure steam heated reboiler with a condensate capacity of 12t/h. Could you please give me some advice?: How to determine the condensate residence time? How to determine the length-to-diameter ratio of the condensate tank? I searched the forum but couldn't find any relevant information. The condensate tank should be a very common setting.
The amount of condensate still needs to be calculated based on the working conditions of half load, full load and overload. Is the amount of condensate you gave based on the full condensation capacity of 12t/h? Under normal circumstances, there are two phases of gas and liquid after condensation in the steam-heated reboiler. The condensate tank is a horizontal tank. Its residence time depends on your subsequent process flow. ; 1) If the condensate heat pump is continuously delivered to the boiler water supply system, the residence time should be 5~10Min, the cross-sectional area of the liquid phase accounts for about 50%, and the aspect ratio can be 2~4; 2) If the condensate is considered as a storage tank and is only used to store water, the storage period is determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of SHT3007, the liquid filling volume is considered to be a maximum of 80%, and the aspect ratio can be 1.5~2; Usually, a pump continuously delivers the water to the water supply system, which can utilize the sensible heat of the condensed water and save energy. At this time, the setting of the storage tank should be considered according to the flash tank, and ancillary facilities such as pressure control and gas-phase steam pipelines should be set up.
12t is the normal condensate volume. After the steam is condensed in the reboiler, it enters the condensate tank. The liquid level of the condensate tank is controlled by the outlet control valve. The top of the tank is connected to the gas phase balance line. The condensate is subsequently transported to the condensate recovery system by the condensate pump. Is there a standard for this 5~10min residence time, 50% liquid level, and 2~4 aspect ratio? Is there any difference between horizontal and vertical condensate tank settings?
