I have a set of continuous distillation units. Since it is a negative-pressure operation with a vacuum level of around 1 kp, a plug flow pump is used for continuous feeding. How should the feed inlet be designed to ensure stable flow at the outlet of the plug flow pump, independent of the vacuum level? I am considering adding a U-shaped bend or a section of stainless steel coil as a buffer – is that feasible? Or please, experts, recommend some better methods. Thank you!
Is this a laboratory device? ? It would be best to add a buffer section, similar to a tower bottom, to maintain a certain amount of liquid.
Yes, it’s an experimental device. The on-site conditions do not permit the use of additional kettles or tanks. Will the two methods I mentioned be effective?

All control valves operate on the principle of throttling... a larger pressure difference results in a higher flow rate, while a smaller pressure difference leads to a lower flow rate……
Do you have any good methods to stabilize the feed rate? My feed rate is quite low, at 20 ml/min; I would appreciate some advice!
I’m not aware of the conditions of your process; just add a buffer based on the flow rate.
The material is water, the environment at the pump outlet is a vacuum of 1 kPa, and the feed rate does not exceed 20 ml/min. What size buffer tank is required in this case?
