What does it mean to be in the same building? What is a device? Does the same building include a basement and a podium? Do buildings that are not connected but are very close to each other count as the same building? What is a facility? Does a facility include factory buildings, roads, and warehouses? The regulations on petrochemicals specify that certain items can be placed within facilities, but it isn’t clear whether these items can be located inside the building or outdoors. There doesn’t seem to be any specific explanation on this point

There is no specific definition in the standards; does everything I mentioned fall under it?
The petrochemical regulations specify the starting and ending points for calculating the fire protection distances for process units; whether these units are located inside or outside the building is not determined by the regulations – it depends on your requirements. As long as you do not violate the fire protection requirements set out in the regulations, it is acceptable
