The company has Propylene Oxide stored in Class A1 tanks. The design was carried out by the design institute before 2014; I’ve heard that after 2014, dual shut-off valves are required for the sequential shutdown of Class A1 tanks. I would like to know which specific standard this refers to Could an older brother provide it?
A SIS system should be installed; for the dual valves, one is considered to be a cut-off valve operated via DCS, while the other is a SIS valve.
Well, that’s what it means: one isolation valve is connected to the SIS, and another isolation valve is used for DCS control. Right now it’s not clear which valves require a dual-valve design, nor which specific standard mandates this requirement; it’s just that there is a clear demand for two isolation valves. . . .
Check if you need to log in to the SIS system. This is because the specifications for SIS and DCS systems are independent of each other.

The quick-cut valves can generally be directly connected to the SIS system, and hard manual operation can then be configured. Isn’t it a waste to use 2 cut-off valves, with one connected to the SIS and the other to the DCS? How many more sealing points are needed? As far as I know, there are no requirements for installing double isolation valves; only major hazard sources of level 1 and level 2 require a separate SIS system
