Currently, the associated buried pipelines for the oil depot are being installed; there are 6 to 7 km of buried pipelines from the river pier to the oil depot. . Is seismic design necessary? The value for this location is 0.05g. According to GBT 50470-2017, the need for seismic design shall be determined based on a preliminary assessment. The evaluation specifies that seismic verification must be carried out. Is this the correct way to understand it? Furthermore, seismic codes require that seismic design be considered for all projects. If seismic design (seismic verification) is not required, the general seismic measures specified in 7.1 of 50470 are sufficient; otherwise, specialized seismic measures must be adopted.
