As mentioned above, the jacket of the reaction vessel is first filled with saline and then pressurized, after which circulating water is used. Over time, chloride ions accumulate in this circulating water; equipment that is sensitive to chloride ions will then suffer from corrosion as a result. How can this problem be solved?
